Team for Monaghan match named

At some point in the wee hours last night, details of the Mayo team and subs for our final NFL match of the season, against Monaghan up at Inniskeen tomorrow (throw-in 2.30 pm), were published.  And here are those details:

Mayo (NFL Division One v Monaghan, 10/4/2011): David Clarke (Ballina Stephenites); Cathal Hallinan (Ballintubber), Alan Feeney (Castlebar Mitchels), Keith Higgins (Ballyhaunis); Peadar Gardiner (Crossmolina), Ger Cafferkey (Ballina Stephenites), James Burke (Ballymun Kickhams, Dublin); Seamus O’Shea (Breaffy), Tom Parsons (Charlestown Sarsfields); Aidan Campbell (Swinford), Andy Moran (Ballaghaderreen), Kevin McLoughlin (Knockmore); Enda Varley (Garrymore), Alan Freeman (Aghamore), Jason Doherty (Burrishoole).  Subs: Robert Hennelly (Breaffy), Chris Barrett (Belmullet), Eoghan Reilly (Castlebar Mitchels), Ruaidhri O’Connor (Ballintubber), Ronan Rochford (Crossmolina), Lee Keegan (Westport), Barry Moran (Castlebar Mitchels), James Gibbons (Ballintubber), Cillian O’Connor (Ballintubber), Aidan Kilcoyne (Knockmore), Mark Ronaldson (Shrule-Glencorrib).

As expected, plenty of changes from the last day, both of the enforced variety and because of the chance for more experimentation.  No time for analysis, though, as I’ve to face a hyper-active bunch of U7s a bit later this morning.

  1. Looking forward to the match tomorrow hope to travel. Tom Parsons m-f think possibly his last chance to impress. Gald to see Jason Doherty still in at 15.

  2. Don’t know what the story is with Kilcullen. Hadn’t heard he was injured but I don’t know for sure. Either way I’d say he’s already done enough to make the cut for the championship squad.

Thanks for the GPS co-ordinates Mick. We’re going to rely on more old-fashioned methods ourselves but hopefully we’ll make it there in time for the throw-in. Great day for a match.
