The annual County Convention was on last weekend and I said then that I’d post details here of the Convention report and accounts once they’d been published. They now have so here they are (pdf) – Convention Report, Financial Accounts. Plenty to go through there over the Festive season.
If paperwork doesn’t do it for you, though, you might be interested to know that the U21B football championship final has been fixed for next Friday evening (21st December) at the Connacht Centre of Excellence. Throw-in at Bekan has been fixed for 8pm.
It’ll be a Sarsfields showdown in Friday’s decider, with the Sarsfields of both Charlestown and Ardnaree having made it through their respective semi-finals today. Charlestown crushed Ballyhaunis by 6-13 to 3-6 but it took extra-time to separate Ardnaree and Burrishoole, with the Ardnaree lads winning out in the finish by 3-17 to 2-14.

Well, you’ll be glad to know that the Mayo News football podcast will be making a Festive comeback over the next few days with not one but two pre-Christmas episodes. The first one – out at some stage tomorrow – will preview the Club Stars bash in January while the second one is an end of year review episode. Stay tuned for both over the coming days.
