NFL prediction mini-league leaderboard – Week 5

With just two full rounds of matches, plus the four divisional finals (best of luck to Leitrim in the Division Four decider, by the way), left to play in this year’s National Football League, things are set to come to a head shortly in the prediction mini-league.

Long-time leader in this particular race, Conor C, still heads the field after Round 5. His lead at the top has, though, been pared back from 58 to 30 points, with Sean Cunney now leading the chasing pack in second spot. Five points further back, Johnny Jetson slips to third but is still very much in the hunt for honours. Most likely the overall winner will be one of this trio.

I slipped a bit myself this time round, sliding to 16th overall so I’ve work to do if I’m to make it onto the leaderboard. Speaking of which, here’s the list of the top ten placings after Round 5.

  1. I see the top 4 are also in contention to win the whole thing country wide. Not bad going at all!!!.

  2. Don’t lose heart, folks. Better to find your weaknesses early on in the year.. I think Matthew Ruane has a bright future at midfield. IMO Donie Vaughan is not suited to this area, maybe his physique would be better utilised at full back – especially against Tommy Walsh (Kerry). Galway showed glimpses of quality – O’Laoi is a real find, and his brother also made an appearance. The new “terrible twins” lol. I’m sure JH will continue to give game time to younger players – but patience is also required… Just wondering how is Tom Parsons rehabilitation going – would be a mighty partnership with Ruane..
