Monaghan preview – Mayo News football podcast 2020 E6

The weekend just gone saw the first break in the tightly compressed schedule of National League games. Just because Mayo’s footballers weren’t in action, however, this didn’t mean a downing of tools on the Mayo News podcast as well.

In this episode of the podcast, we take stock of Mayo’s opening three matches in this year’s Division One campaign and we look ahead to next Sunday’s trip to Clones where James Horan’s team take on Monaghan. We also take time in this episode to salute a truly inspirational Mayo person.

Host Rob Murphy is joined for this episode by Mayo News duo Mike Finnerty and Edwin McGreal as together they survey how Mayo are fixed with three points in the bag after three rounds of League matches. Next Rob checks in with Mayo News analyst Billy Joe Padden before looking ahead to the Round 4 game in Clones in the company of former Monaghan star Paul Finlay.

To end this episode we hear from Martina Jennings, whose dynamic leadership of the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice organisation recently saw her receive this year’s Mayo Person of the Year award.

This latest episode of the Mayo News football podcast is now online and is available to listen to on iTunes, SoundCloud, Spotify and Podomatic.
